Meet The Mayhems
MeetTheMayhems.com was born in the Spring of 2011, when the two of us decided we were tired of complaining about the state of the adult industry and we were ready to do something about it. We were both already active porn performers, but we were tired of all of the big studios sinking to the mediocre standard of an industry in need of a massive overhaul – from content to marketing to public image. We wanted to create porn that could get people off without perpetuating racism or homophobia – porn that shows the world that making sexy videos is not synonymous with exploitation. We’re trying for smut that can scratch the itch of people whose junk is hard wired to their brain. We want our website to appeal to smart people, queer people, or anyone anywhere with a libido. We don’t have a budget, be we do have a mission.
Encyclopedia Mayhem
When we were brainstorming ideas for content to put on this site, we kept coming up with awesome, sexy ideas that we thought people would like but which were not, strictly speaking, pornography. Ned wanted to give physics lectures using the breasts of a topless woman as a chalkboard, to brighten the day of cramming students everywhere. Maggie wanted to debunk common myths about kinky sex, through live demonstration and rigorous experiment. We agreed that there is an audience for this content, but that it’s not exactly what you want to see when you’re lubed up, searching the web with one hand.
This is why we are creating Encyclopedia Mayhem. It will be an eclectic collection of random facts, discussions, presentations, and ideas from our bizarre and twisted brains. Most of it is sexy, if not always overtly sexual. Most of it is free (or cheap). We hope you enjoy it.
Maggie Mayhem
Maggie was bitten by the sex geek bug at the start of her undergraduate studies when she started volunteering as an HIV test counselor and never looked back. In the past she has coordinated a free and anonymous HIV testing clinic, functioned as the HIV Senior Specialist at Larkin Street Youth Services in San Francisco, CA and she has done HIV prevention grant work in Tanzania, Africa.

Ned Mayhem
Ned is a PhD candidate in experimental physics at UC Berkeley. He augments his meagerstudent stipend working as a queer porn performer, and is active in the sex positive scene in the Bay Area. In his free time, Ned tackles the hard science and engineering problems in the PSIgasm project, an open source hobby science project measuring physiological responses to arousal and orgasm. With a backgroundin low noise measurement electronics and advanced data analysis techniques, Ned is excited to put his scientific education to work outside of an academic setting.
